LA-based dance music tastemaker NGHTMRE is back after a five-year hiatus from releasing an EP. Today, the much-anticipated “UNSOUND” EP breaks that streak and delivers absolutely unmatched tracks that were definitely worth the wait. The four-track collection teams up with some of EDM’s brightest stars including Ray Volpe, Deadlyft, RNSOM, and vocalists Rosie Darling and Duncan Davis. Showcasing his evolution as an artist, the EP truly delivers fresh new hits under his discography while simultaneously sticking true to his own original sound. Available now for purchase and across all streaming platforms, the “UNSOUND” EP is finally here and ready to hit dancefloors around the world.
The third installment of NGHTMRE’s highly-acclaimed EP’s, “UNSOUND” showcases a brand new other-worldness of sound that highlights the next chapter for the producer. Featuring both sentimental ballads and darker bass-driven anthems, each track brings genre-defying sounds that only NGHTMRE could deliver. The lead single “Sweetest Thing” brings the softer and more passionate side of the EP with Duncan Davis’ smooth vocals and future-bass-driven synths. The next track “Euphoria” continues on the emotional journey featuring Rosie Darlings resonating vocals before flipping the switch into the final two hard-hitting tracks. “Signal” featuring Long Island-native Ray Volpe unearths shocking basslines and astute kick drums that will surely reach festival mainstages. “Ring the Alarm” carries on the upbeat energy and dark basslines into the final track of the EP and fully solidifies NGHTMRE’s reputation of being an absolute industry heavyweight.
“The UNSOUND EP is a bit of a preface for my upcoming album. I have been working on lots of new music throughout the year and these are some of my favorite collaborations I’ve done! I think the EP has a perfect balance of heavy, festival-ready tunes, as well as some more easy listening melodic. Everyone who worked on this EP is incredibly talented and I think deserves more recognition for their work. I hope this EP brings to light some of the amazing under-appreciated artists who helped write this music.” – NGHTMRE
NGHTMRE’s rise to stardom began as an anonymous producer making collaborations with Dillon Francis and has blossomed into the artistry that has met most festival mainstages across the globe. Working with huge industry icons such as A$AP Ferg, Lil Jon, Shaq, Zeds Dead, and SLANDER to make chart-topping collaborations- he is now no stranger to the limelight. Securing headlining spots at major festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, Ultra, and many more internationally- he is truly a force to be reckoned with. With a forty-nine date tour on the horizon and a brand-new album, NGHTMRE’s momentum is just getting a second wind- and we are looking forward to what he has for us next.
