Out today (Friday, January 21), DVBBS & Galantis “When The Lights Go Down” ft. Cody Simpson lands on Kanary Music/Ultra Music — and after just a few weeks into the new year, it has already secured a spot in the top songs of 2022. Listen to “When The Lights Go Down” below, or stream/download everywhere, HERE.
DVBBS, brother DJ/producer duo consisting of members Alex and Christopher, have been dominating the electronic music circuit for nearly a decade. Joined by hitmakers Galantis, and incomparable vocalist Cody Simpson, the winning combination results in an unforgettable track, “When The Lights Go Down,” which is certain to not only become a highlight of the year in music, but a milestone in each of their musical careers.
The new infectious collaboration between DVBBS and Cody Simpson has been a long time coming as the guys already had a song together years ago, which they even performed live at Ultra Music Festival Miami. Unfortunately, that song never saw the light of day aside from the live UMF performance. But, who doesn’t love a good full circle story? The story comes full circle as DVBBS and Simpson finished the records together with Galantis, who turn everything to gold. “When The Lights Go Down” follows the third studio album from DVBBS, SLEEP, as well as their “Body Mind Sound” single with Benny Benassi, all while Galantis rides the wave of “Sweet Talker” with Years & Years, and “Alien” with Lucas & Steve & ILIRA. Cody Simpson is currently gearing up for his first album release in seven years with the LPs lead single, “Nice to Meet You.”
“We’ve shared stages all around the world with legends Galantis over the last decade and couldn’t be happier to now share this record together. We’ve also watched Cody Simpson grow into the amazing artist he is. He performed a record with us years ago at Ultra Music Festival that never came out. So, we had to finish the story right, and that’s ‘When The Lights Go Down.’” – DVBBS
“Happy to kick off 2022 with our friends DVBBS and Cody on ‘When The Lights Go Down‘” – Galantis
“When the DVBBS boys reached out about collabing on this track, I was stoked. To lend vocals and guitars on this was a pleasure. I’ve been a fan of both Galantis and DVBBS for a while now. Glad to be able to come together on a smash like this, and I hope everyone digs it as much as we do.” – Cody Simpson
