The momentum surrounding The Great Divide continues to build, with the album earning the largest streaming debut of 2026 while reaching No. 1 in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Kahan also achieved the biggest Billboard chart week of his career, with all 21 tracks from the expanded edition, The Great Divide: The Last Of The Bugs, debuting on the Billboard Hot 100. Fan favorite “Doors” entered the Top 10, while Kahan simultaneously topped the Billboard Artist 100 chart for the first time.

Ahead of his Saturday Night Live appearance, Kahan stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to discuss the success of The Great Divide, his upcoming television performance, and the record-breaking response to his world tour. During the interview, his Rolling Stone cover was revealed publicly for the first time, adding another milestone to a breakout year that has seen the singer-songwriter become one of the most talked-about artists in music.

Kahan’s The Great Divide World Tour continues to see overwhelming demand, with more than 1.5 million tickets sold worldwide. The tour begins with a sold-out North American stadium run before expanding to Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., and Europe later this year. Following unprecedented demand, additional arena dates have been added in London, Dublin, Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland, while Kahan also made history as the first artist to sell out four consecutive performances at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park.
