Immersed (Öwnboss & Scorsi) Drop Debut EP ‘PROTOCOLOR’

Immersed, the collaborative project from Brazilian producers Öwnboss and Scorsi, today release their debut EP PROTOCOLOR via Sony Music. The six-track project brings together previously released singles “Now You See Me,” “Tantra,” “The Last Time,” “In Rotation,” and “Contagious” alongside the new closing track “Glow,” completing the first full body of work from the duo since introducing Immersed earlier this year.

Built over the course of the project’s first year, PROTOCOLOR brings the different dimensions of the Immersed sound into a single cohesive release. Across six tracks, Öwnboss and Scorsi move between hypnotic club rhythms, melodic passages, atmospheric tension, driving low-end, and heavier moments of release, balancing emotion with impact throughout. Rather than adhering to a single formula, the EP establishes Immersed through those contrasts, with each track exploring a different point between melody and intensity while remaining connected by the duo’s meticulous approach to production and sound design.

The EP opens with “Now You See Me,” introducing its world through a dark, atmospheric foundation before “Tantra” pushes further into hypnotic, rhythm-driven territory. “The Last Time” brings a more emotive dimension to the project, while “In Rotation” turns the focus firmly toward the dancefloor with a more immediate, driving energy. “Contagious” builds around repetition, momentum, and an infectious vocal hook, steadily intensifying into a series of powerful club-ready drops. Closing track “Glow” begins from a more melodic, vocal-led place before gradually intensifying into a bright, expansive release built for the dancefloor, bringing together the atmospheric and high-energy elements that run throughout the EP.

“PROTOCOLOR feels like the first complete picture of what we want Immersed to be. When we started this project, we wanted the freedom to explore different sides of our sound without feeling like every track had to fit into one specific box. Each track has its own personality, but together they represent the balance we’re always looking for between melody, atmosphere, tension, and energy. This is only the beginning for Immersed, and we’re excited to keep pushing the sound from here.” – Öwnboss and Scorsi

Immersed emerged organically from the creative partnership between Öwnboss and Scorsi, who first collaborated under the Öwnboss & Scorsi name on their remix of Nari & Milani’s “Atom.” The remix quickly gained traction within the electronic music community and became a fixture in Steve Angello’s sets, where it remained for years. What began as a single collaboration revealed a deeper creative alignment, eventually leading the pair to establish Immersed as a dedicated project with its own sonic and visual identity.

Since launching Immersed with “Now You See Me” earlier this year, the duo have gradually revealed that identity one release at a time. The project has already drawn attention from Beatportal, which described Immersed as a space where “emotion and impact, melody and weight, euphoria and aggression all coexist inside the same records.” With PROTOCOLOR, those individual pieces come together for the first time, marking both the culmination of Immersed’s introductory chapter and the foundation for where Öwnboss and Scorsi take the project next.

Beyond Immersed, both artists have established themselves as prominent figures within global electronic music. Öwnboss is widely recognized for his breakout hit “Move Your Body,” which has surpassed 200 million streams worldwide and ranked as the fourth most played track globally in 2022 according to 1001Tracklists. His music has been released on major labels including Spinnin’ Records, Monstercat, and Tiësto’s Musical Freedom, and he has performed at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Rock in Rio, Creamfields, and Ushuaïa Ibiza. Scorsi brings more than two decades of experience in electronic music with roots in drum & bass and a career spanning underground credibility and mainstream success, including releases and collaborations with artists such as Alok, NGHTMRE, Autograf, and Tropkillaz.
