Summer’s coming early this year as Martin Garrix just rang in a whirlwind collaboration for another slam dunk record “Summer Days” featuring Macklemore and Patrick Stump of legendary rock band Fall Out Boy.
Out today via Garrix’s very own STMPD RCRDS, the tune is dripping with summertime vibes and an addicting chorus that without doubt is going to be on repeat from here on out. Electrifying guitar riffs underline “Summer Days” with zestful lyrics ready to make the airwave circuit strong and hit dance floors even harder. Laced with imaginative vocals transporting listeners to windows down drives with friends, and oceanside life amidst palm trees and sunshine on a note of pure serenity, “Summer Days” is jump-starting everyone’s excitement for 2019 summer hits to smash.
“Summer Days is one of those tracks that makes you want to get in the car with your friends and blast it with the windows down. I’m honored to be working with Patrick and Macklemore on this track since I think they are both great artists. They are both very different in terms of style which gave the track new dimensions. I’m super happy with the end result!” – Martin Garrix
As far as recognizable vocals go, Patrick Stump is right up there with one of the most outstandingly familiar voices in the industry. In the roughly 20 years he has been frontman for Fall Out Boy and his solo project, he has lended his stunning voice to fellow alternative/rock groups like Cobra Starship, Panic! At The Disco, New Found Glory, as well as burst into all kinds of genres with Krewella, Gym Class Heroes, Timbaland, Lupe Fiasco, and The Roots among many others. Able to hit an impressive range of octaves, Stump is now sweeping a track with the #1 DJ in the World and taking “Summer Days” to an all time high.
“I’ve always loved collaborating with artists from different genres. Martin and I have talked about doing something for a while now, and just needed the right record. When he sent me this, I knew it was the one. Patrick was added to the hook and just made it that much better. I’m hella pumped about the way it turned out and excited for the world to hear it.” – Macklemore
Martin Garrix is moving even more swiftly into the range of electronic artists who are taking their diverse talent across the music spectrum with charismatic collaborations that won’t soon be forgotten. Macklemore gives “Summer Days” an exciting depth as he tells the storyline of love at first sight in the heat of summer, and the lightness that can come with love under the sun. Stirring up the emotion of new love, “Summer Days” emits the kind when you just can’t bear to be apart.
