Jay-Z

As the man who started it all, you don’t want to miss out on Jay-Z closing out one of the two nights of this notorious festival. This rap veteran made his rap debut in 1996, is bound to bring forth classics from his first album, Reasonable Doubt. Jay Z has been influencing the rap scene since his release of Reasonable Doubt and has established those rap trends of the late 90s and early 2000s that bring us some righteous feels. Jay Z most recent solo album, Holy Grail debuted in 2013. Don’t be surprised if Jay Z brings forth some of his recent collabs with rappers such as DJ Khaled. With the classic rap vibes and new collabs, Jay Z will be dropping dope verses with a beat that we all can’t resist to close out one of the two late summer nights.

J Cole

Rap sensation J Cole, along with Jay Z, will be the main headliner this Labor Day Weekend. J cole is a name that has been around for years but yet we can’t stop loving him. With his insane verses and collabs, J Cole will be bringing forth a night you won’t forget. J Cole’s most recent album “4 Your Eyez Only” gave us all the feels with his deep, emotional rap lines. With a number of hits that are groovy and catchy, J Cole will have us “work out” for him by moving to his beat on the Parkway. Some J Cole favorites that are bound to be heard on the Parkway are “Wet Dreamz,” “No Role Modelz” and “Deja Vu,” just to name a few. J Cole made an appearance to Made In America in 2015 but this year he will be closing out the night.

The Chainsmokers

This crossover production and DJ duo will bring you a mix of EDM and pop sounds to the Parkway. After their debut solo, “#Selfie,” in January ‘14, Drew and Alex rose to the charts with hits that we all know and love. The duo’s Drew Taggart provides The Chainsmokers with that voice we all love to sing along to. This year, the duo released their debut record, Memories: Do Not Open, debuting at the top of the Billboard chart. Hit singles off that album that give us those summer feels include “Something Just Like This” collab with Coldplay’s own Chris Martin and “Paris” just to name a few. Don’t worry, Drew and Alex won’t let us down and bring us “Closer” with their own hits and remixes of some of their favorite indie bands. Be ready to sing along with Andrew and Alex and dance to their club worthy beats this upcoming labor day weekend.

Kaskade

The infamous Kaskade will be heading to Philly this upcoming Labor Day weekend to bring us some EDM vibes. This Grammy nominated electronic producer is one of the most successful house DJs of the 2000s. Kaskade came to fame in 2003 with his “It’s You, It’s Me” record, but broke the records in 2008 with “Strobelite Seduction”’s groovy beats and mind-blowing vocals.
