Connor Caine is an independent Alternative R&B and Hip-Hop artist from the shores of Manhattan Beach, California. He’s got an incredible resume so far including early support from Live Nation, FADER, and had a breakout performance at the 1st Gen x amplify Showcase hosted by renowned producer Andy Kilhoffer.

Starting at the early age of 12, Connor’s been working towards a career as a musician. As of late, he’s been making waves in the LA industry scene and is ready for the release of “Need You Back,” the third single from his upcoming debut EP. Featuring added vocals from singer/songwriter Andrew Weitz, the track stems from R&B influences, and incorporates dreamy, harmonic vocals over a steady bass-line. With some added electronic elements, including wavy lead synths, the track has a unique and contemporary sound.

This track puts the listener right in the feels with an emotional vocal, avantgarde electronic elements, and trippy drums. The vocal chops add to the atmosphere and transition very smoothly to the verse. The vocals are smooth, and the drums create a pocket groove that is laid back allowing the vocal to maintain the focus while the electronic elements comp. Overall, this is a very strong production and Connor Caine has a lot more in store for 2020 that is bound to be great.

Here is what Connor had to say about the song:

“Driven by the early electronic influences in koby’s production, the song sways between silky R&B harmonics, the gritty saturation of its’ percussion and low end, and a smooth topline kicked off by our homie Andrew Weitz. It originally started as a composition piece for koby’s master’s recital, and with influence and direction from our boys, evolved into the song that it is today. “
