The Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival is returning to Jones Beach on August 20th and 21st, and this year’s lineup is on fire!
August 20th’s headliners include superstars such as Ariana Grande, Fetty Wap and Martin Garrix. Garrix has become the young king of EDM (electronic dance music) in recent years and has worked with some of the biggest stars in the world, prompting fans to flock to any of his events. Just a few days ago, he released his music video for his hit song, “In The Name of Love,” featuring Bebe Rexha. Anyone attending the festival should make room in their schedule to catch his set, it’s sure to be worthwhile. Other electronic acts include: Cheat Codes, Elephante, Madeon, Paper Diamond, and Thomas Jack.
Day two of the festival includes headliners J. Cole and Calvin Harris. Harris has proved to be the official summer hit maker, as his new song with Rihanna, “This Is What You Came For,” currently sits at #3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Every year Harris has continued to surprise us with his ability to create tracks that reach every radio station across the globe and his set at this year’s Billboard Hot 100 festival will be one for the books. Other don’t miss acts include Audien, CID, Galantis, Lost Kings, Marshmello, and Nervo.
Marshmello has exploded onto the scene this year with his “happy trap” music vibe and Mellogang members never fail to pack out his shows anytime he’s around. After an unbelievable set at last weekend’s Moonrise Festival in Baltimore, Mello has proved that he is officially a contender within the top names of EDM. Best known for his new song, “Alone,” and remixes of Adele’s “Hello,” and Justin Bieber’s “Where Are You Now,” his performance at this year’s festival is highly anticipated amongst all party-goers.
Last year the festival attracted more than 40,000 fans to Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, breaking attendance records with headliners such as Justin Bieber, Axwell Ingrosso, Skrillex, Nicki Minaj, and Kygo, to name a few, so it was no surprise when Billboard released another killer lineup for 2016.
