3LAU brought the Haus party to Clearwater, Florida this Labor Day Weekend for a Saturday blowout on the sunny shores of Shephard’s Beach Resort.

Based in Las Vegas, Justin Blau (aka 3LAU) has been crushing the electronic music scene for years with his amped-up dance bangers, festival-friendly energy, and radiantly good-hearted persona. Holding an extensive artillery of remixes, mashups, and originals, 3LAU has gathered an enormous and faithful fan base all over the world. Headlining Shephard’s 3-day Labor Day Live event along with Nicky Romero and Cedric Gervais, he certainly brought the house down with everyone in attendance on Saturday night.

Guests had set up shop at the resort since early that afternoon, day-drinking and enjoying time with friends until things picked up later on in the evening. Openers Lodato and Quix set the tone for the night starting at 9 pm, with a 3LAU stage arrival at half past midnight. 3LAU of course incorporated popular crowd favorites into his set which brought everyone together in unison as they sang along to Galantis – “Runaway,” Drake – “In My Feelings,” DJ Snake – “Middle,” Alice DeeJay – “Better Off Alone,” Alan Walker – “Faded,” Fedde Le Grand – “Rhythm Of The Night” and a slew of others.

In perfect harmony with the rowdy Shephard’s vibe, 3LAU and friends shared champagne and tequila showers with the crowd while classic anthems rang behind like Swedish House Mafia’s “Save The World” and Avicii’s “Levels.”  It was full on party mode for Labor Day Weekend, and the venue was entirely packed out with devoted 3LAU fans, Beach House Sunday enthusiasts, bachelor/bachelorette party groups, and vacationers looking to spend their Holiday weekend right. In typical 3LAU fashion, friends were welcomed on stage and made sure to keep the good time rolling. A true celebration, he brought all his friends on stage as they belted out American party favorite “Livin’ On A Prayer” with fans. Gusts of smoke, a minefield of lasers, and vibrant foam glow sticks entertained the audience further during classic originals like “On My Mind,” “Is It Love,” “How You Love Me,” and “Hot Water.”

3LAU established himself as a local veteran, proudly noting that this was the 8th time he’s played at Shephard’s. If you have ever experienced a day at Shephard’s, you know it is both a Florida locals playground and a hotspot for vacationing. Full of familiar faces every week, dance fans flock to Clearwater’s sandy shores for Beach House Sundays, their electronic summer concert series. Hosting an entire day and night of music on the beach, drinking, sunshine-y vibes, and good times, this venue sees it all when it comes to people who are ready to party.

Rounding out the evening after an hour and a half of zany nonsense, we were treated to a couple new and unfinished tracks. After stating it has been a little since his last release, 3LAU shared news of 8 unheard songs he has been working on. We are stoked to have caught a glimpse of what’s to come, and to hear these babies out on the stage soon!

Earlier this year 3LAU released his highly anticipated album Ultraviolet on his not-for-profit BLUME imprint. Album tracks of course made it into the mix this weekend at Shephard’s, most memorably the lead single “Touch” which hits you in indescribable ways. “Touch” is one of those tracks that makes you feel something very special right from the start, and steadily evolves into a vibe that strikes you with all the feels. As if the wild success of Ultraviolet was not enough, 3LAU has further explored his entrepreneurial side this year and unveiled the launch of his latest project, Our Music Festival, which is the first blockchain – powered festival to exist. Deeply transformative in nature, OMF takes things to a never-before-seen level in which discussion and education surrounding cryptocurrency and mainstream technology have sparked. An extremely admirable artist with a myriad of talents, 3LAU is much more than a young producer with big dreams. His philanthropic work extends beyond conventional limits, and his knack for combining business with his love for music continues to birth revolutionary ideas. Stay tuned for more upcoming news surrounding 3LAU and his energetic performances, innovative developments, and humanitarian efforts as we continue to celebrate his monumental progress.
