Darude and Sebastian Rejman are proud to share “Release Me,” out now on Armada Music. The first of three possible Eurovision Song Contest entries, the track packs an impactful punch right from the start. “Release Me” arrives beside an official music video ahead of yet another forthcoming single from Eurovision, due for a Friday, February 15 release.
Representing Finland at Eurovision Song Contest 2019, multi-platinum-selling, award-winning DJ/Producer Darude is launching three entries for the globally renowned song contest. With all three records released on the esteemed Armada Music, the biggest independent dance music label in the world, there’s no need to explain that this a prosperous partnership.
“I’m super excited to be partnering with Armada for Eurovision. I cannot think of a better label to work with to bring dance music and a slice of club culture to the Eurovision fans. This first track, ‘Release Me’, is close to my heart as it reveals some of the trials and tribulations that come with being a touring DJ and family man. Find me on my socials and let me know what you think, and I’ll be seeing you on the dancefloor soon!” – Darude
“Release Me” cohort Sebastian Rejman is locked in to perform the track beside Darude at Eurovision Song Contest 2019, adding:
“It’s so great to do this thing with Darude and Armada. It’s an honour to be a part of this project and get the opportunity to rock the Eurovision stage with all of you!”
Of course, we are all familiar with Darude’s legendary hit “Sandstorm,” which has clocked up 115 million streams to date on Spotify, over 140 million plays on YouTube, and will certainly not be halting anytime soon. The iconic release is still a crowd favorite in live sets and nightclubs across the world, further cementing Darude’s place in dance music history. Since first stepping onto the scene twenty years ago, Darude’s highly-acclaimed musical workings have been utilized by globally recognized events such as Euro 2000, Wimbledon, The Olympics, NFL, NBA, and the UFC.
