Fresh from winning the official “UZ- ‘Fire’ (Feat. SoloSam)” remix contest, Shöckface is back with his newest release. For this one he teamed up with New Zealand’s MICA and Canadian based Bromar. With “Ride or Die” they are closing of the year with some sweet gritty experimental sound design.

“Ride or Die” oozes with MICA’s emotional bass and Shöckface’s raw and gritty sound, and a great addition here is Bromar’s emotional vocal. This particular one stirs up a plethora of feelings and emotions, especially when he is asking for that one special girl that wants to “Ride or Die” with him. Above all it gets real emotional when he is asking himself “can you stay true to me, can we live truthfully?” As the track nears the climax, Shöckface and MICA infuse it with some of their roaring basslines and glitchy synth work. It shows some true craftsmanship that they manage to turn all of this into a vibrant string of sounds that fit any dance floor.

Moreover, “Ride or Die” perfectly straddles the line between an uplifting energetic trap anthem and a soothing, mellow electronic ballad. If you are looking for an energetic track to close of the year, this might be the one. “Ride or Die” is out now on Secret Souls.
