Canadian-based electronic mainstay deadmau5 and singer/songwriter Lights have joined forces in the studio once again, this time with an electrifying single, “When The Summer Dies.” Following the original version’s release on mau5trap just last week, an alternative mix of the already stimulating track is out now for listeners to further indulge in.
After a tremendously successful collaboration back in 2018 with “Drama Free” which appeared on the soundtrack for the Netflix feature film Polar, it was about time the two prodigious musicians worked their valuable production magic together once again. “When The Summer Dies” is a magnetic, playful tune that fully discloses deadmau5’s otherworldly soundscapes and Lights’ brilliant alternative-pop tendencies in the most entrancing manner. The dynamic track kicks off on an early 2010’s nostalgia-inducing progressive house note, luring listeners in right from the get-go. Followed by Lights’ unparalleled provocative vocals, “When The Summer Dies” is bound to leave you ready to party it up on the dancefloor after just one listen.
Deadmau5’s latest number marks a special milestone in his already prosperous music career, as the fresh track is accompanied by an engaging music video to go with its dazzling sonic composition. The video was created in Manticore, a gaming experience designed by mau5trap label boss himself and techno legend Richie Hawtin’s new company PIXELYNX. With so much already to applaud the renowned producer/DJ for, he doesn’t cease to continue astonishing fans with all of his extraordinary career-driven ventures, including the starstruck single that is “When The Summer Dies.”
