Boris Acket Creates Large-scale Art Installation for ADE’s 30th Anniversary

To mark the 30th anniversary of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), artist Boris Acket and Making Waves present EINDER, a large-scale art installation at De Centrale Markthal in Amsterdam. From 21 October to 1 November 2026, EINDER brings together movement, light, sound and live music. An approximately 80 by 25 metre textile installation, set in motion by a series of fans, continuously changes shape to create a unique immersive experience. The installation forms the setting for an exhibition, complemented by concerts from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Joep Beving and Elias Mazian. Pre-registration for the concerts opens today at 11.00 am.

EINDER is a production by artist Boris Acket and Making Waves. Acket has previously collaborated with institutions and artists including the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the Van Gogh Museum, Lowlands and Fred again. The production is realised by Goonie Crew. EINDER brings together movement, space, sound, material and light in an installation that invites people not only to observe, but to experience.

The live concert series opens on 21 October with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra performing Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony beneath the installation.On 22 October, Elias Mazian takes the stage with his live band, followed by Joep Beving on 29 October, presenting music from his new album Liminal.

The exhibition opens on 22 October with a new composition created especially for EINDER by Caterina Barbieri, music curator of the Venice Biennale. From 22 October onwards, EINDER will be brought to life at selected moments through a performance by choreographer Kiani del Valle, whose work includes choreography for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.
