Swedish House Mafia has returned with the second single in less than a week. This time, the guys have revealed “Lifetime” along with Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake. “Lifetime” is out today (Monday, July 19) on Republic Records.

“Lifetime,” which is the newest anthem from SHM, comes only days after the guys released their deep and dark “It Gets Better.” The songs are both quite different from each other, and also different than what fans might expect from the Swedish trio. Familiar for their anthemic tunes such as “Don’t You Worry Child,” “Save The World,” “One,” “Antidote,” and “Miami 2 Ibiza,” among others, the guys have opted for a different feel for their new era. The new music is a sound of its own — and even a genre of its own. Combining elements of dance & electronic, underground, pop, hip-hop, house, and more, the latest stage in SHM’s musical journey may be unexpected, but we’re here for it.

Their return also boasts a label switch from Virgin/EMI to Republic Records, as well as new management. As the world still handles a global pandemic, and the touring and festival circuit is still somewhat unknown, it remains to be seen whether Swedish House Mafia plan to announce a tour in 2021/2022 or headline any major festivals.
