ZHANGYE’s CHINA EDM Vol. 2, China’s First All-Female Electronic Music Compilation
ZHANGYE, one of the leading figures in Chinese electronic music and founder of Cyanhill Music, proudly presents CHINA EDM Vol. 2, the first all-female Chinese electronic music compilation. Available now on all streaming platforms via Cyanhill Music, the groundbreaking project brings together a diverse group of established artists and rising talent from across China, highlighting the creativity, innovation, and growing global influence of female electronic music producers and DJs.
Serving as the highly anticipated follow-up to 2024’s CHINA EDM Vol. 1, the compilation continues ZHANGYE’s long-term vision of creating a global platform for Chinese electronic music. Following the success of CHINA EDM NIGHT at Amsterdam’s Escape deLux nightclub, which brought Chinese electronic music directly to one of Europe’s most influential electronic music markets, the project returns with a new focus on elevating female DJs and producers. Following an open call exclusively for female DJs and producers, the compilation selected standout artists across both established and emerging categories, creating a collection that celebrates musical excellence while amplifying underrepresented voices within electronic music.
Featuring original productions and exclusive remixes, CHINA EDM Vol. 2 showcases a wide range of electronic styles, from melodic dance-pop and Future Rave to hard techno, contemporary festival sounds, and culturally inspired underground electronic music. The compilation features contributions from some of China’s most influential female electronic artists, including DJaneMag China No. 1 and DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Lizzy Wang, pioneering Future Rave artist DJ KAKA, hard techno breakout star MEGURU, genre-defying producer and curator DJ UNA, and cinematic electronic innovator SUNK. Further expanding the project’s international reach, the compilation also includes special remixes from globally recognized electronic music artists MATTN and Mariana BO.
The nine-track collection features Lizzy Wang’s emotionally charged “Obsession,” DJ KAKA’s “Unconditional Love,” DJ UNA’s uplifting “U&Me,” SUNK’s cinematic “Blade of the Shadow,” Katastic’s energetic “Good Time,” and 9uery & Shi Xitong’s collaboration “Awake.” The compilation is further highlighted by MEGURU & Panta.Q’s “Sorry But it’s Schranz,” alongside international remixes from MATTN and Mariana BO that bring additional global perspectives to the project.
The project’s momentum was further highlighted on June 5, 2026, when Cyanhill Music partnered with Chinese women’s intimates brand ubras to present the CHINA EDM Launch Party × ubras 10th Anniversary event in Aranya, China. Serving as the live debut of CHINA EDM Vol. 2, the beachfront celebration brought together artists from the compilation including DJ KAKA, Lizzy Wang, MEGURU, and SUNK for a series of performances blending electronic music, fashion, and visual art. Held in conjunction with ubras’ 10th anniversary, the event underscored a shared commitment to empowering women and marked a major milestone in the global rollout of CHINA EDM Vol. 2.
“Over the past year, we’ve seen an incredible rise of female talent across China’s electronic music scene. Some are performing on major festival stages, some are building international audiences, and others are creating entirely new sounds by blending different musical influences and cultures. Yet many of these artists remain underrepresented globally. With CHINA EDM Vol. 2, we wanted to create a platform that celebrates their creativity and helps bring their music to listeners around the world.” – ZHANGYE
Through its combination of established stars, emerging talent, international collaborations, and real-world cultural activations, CHINA EDM Vol. 2 reflects both the growing diversity and global ambitions of China’s electronic music community. The release also reflects Cyanhill Music’s broader commitment to supporting female artists within electronic music. Originally launched through an open submission process dedicated exclusively to Chinese female DJs and producers, the project was designed to create meaningful opportunities for exposure, collaboration, and career development while helping cultivate a more inclusive future for the country’s electronic music ecosystem.
Recognized as one of the most influential figures in China’s electronic music scene, ZHANGYE continues to expand his global footprint through high-profile collaborations and international releases. Recent projects include his collaboration with Libianca on “Don’t Say Sorry,” his work with Steve Aoki on “Where Do We Go,” and the groundbreaking all-female CHINA EDM Vol. 2 initiative, further cementing his role as a leading advocate for Chinese electronic music on the world stage.
With CHINA EDM Vol. 2, ZHANGYE and Cyanhill Music continue building a global platform for Chinese electronic artists while celebrating the talent, creativity, and cultural impact of a new generation of female producers and DJs.
