YDG Returns to Bassrush Records with Official Zombie Apocalypse 2026 Anthem “Apocalypse”

Bass music shape-shifter YDG returns to Bassrush Records with “Apocalypse,” a thunderous new dubstep single selected as the official anthem for Zombie Apocalypse Festival, taking place June 19–20, 2026 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. Equal parts cinematic and catastrophic, the aptly titled release captures the chaos, dread, and adrenaline of a full-scale zombie outbreak, primed for festival speakers and peak-time impact.

“”Apocalypse” becoming the official anthem for the Apocalypse Festival is such a surreal moment for me. I had so much fun tapping back into the old YDG sound and bringing that raw heavy energy back into a track again. This one feels like a full circle moment.. Reminding myself where I came from while still pushing things forward.” – YDG

Impossible to pin to a single sound, the Los Angeles-based producer has earned a reputation as one of bass music’s most unpredictable rising talents, seamlessly navigating dubstep, melodic bass, trap, house, and experimental terrain. On “Apocalypse,” YDG channels his heavier instincts into a widescreen dubstep experience, layering howling alarms, horror-inspired vocal samples, and frenetic low-end pressure into a menacing sonic landscape.

The track unfolds like a disaster film soundtrack engineered for the rail, dark trench-inspired passages collide with sludgy sub-bass detonations, while warped, croaking synth work ratchets up the tension with every drop. Built with cinematic scale and maximalist intensity, “Apocalypse” serves as both a standalone heater and a fitting soundtrack for the return of Bassrush’s undead-themed festival experience.

The release marks YDG’s second outing on Bassrush Records, following his 2024 single “Lose Control” and “In The Pit,” which appeared on The Prophecy: Volume 8 compilation. His recent output has earned support from John Summit, Zeds Dead, Ray Volpe, The Chainsmokers, Blanke, Jeanie, and Disclosure.

Currently wrapping the extended run of his YOU + ME Forever Tour, YDG continues to build momentum as one of bass music’s fastest-rising names. Following a string of sold-out headline dates across North America, he heads into a stacked summer festival season with appearances at Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge, Project GLOW, Breakaway Music Festival, Veld Music Festival, North Coast Music Festival, and Elements Music & Arts Festival, alongside support dates for artists including Seven Lions, INZO, and Levity.
