Solshine will take place at Summer Camp’s beloved venue of Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois from Friday, May 24 til Sunday, May 26, 2024, with a pre-party on Thursday, May 23.

The debut of Summer Camp Music Festival’s new concept, Solshine: A Music and Arts Reverie, the festival has revealed set times, two additional stages, late-night sets, mobile app, as well as food/craft vendors and sustainability initiatives. Check out the festival’s full music schedule here.

Solshine Reverie has revealed two additional stages including Kenny’s Westside Stage which will feature performances from a bevy of local/regional artists. Kenny’s Westside Stage programming can be found here.

Additionally, the festival will host intimate late-night sets at the Red Barn Stage with special performances from STS9, Lespecial, Sunsquabi, Big Something, The Werks, DJ Brownie, Late Night Radio, and Steady Flow. Full programming for the Red Barn Stage can be found here. The two new stages join the previously announced stages: Moonshine, Illumination, and Campfire.

The festival will host an assortment of workshops throughout the weekend in 4 areas of the festival. The Creation Dome at the Illumination Woods will be the go-to hub for art-based and creative workshops. Early-morning yoga workshops will be hosted at the Illumination Stage. At the SOULPATCH Stage & Garden, attendees can participate in various activism and nature-based workshops with activation stations and garden hosts. Across the field from the SOULPATCH Stage will be the Movement Space, which will host a bevy of feature flow, dance, and circus workshops.

As Summer Camp transitions into the Solshine Reverie era, the festival is staying true to its new identity by revamping its layout to evoke an experience akin to entering a reverie – a dreamlike state. The streamlined festival navigation will be reflected in the event’s increased intentionality; while Solshine will preserve the essence of Summer Camp, the refurbished festival will come with meaningful updates.

It is great to see that Solshine Reverie has partnered with Zero Waste Event Productions to spearhead the festival’s sustainability initiatives. In an effort to make the festival industry more sustainable, Zero Waste will manage all on-site waste collection and diversion services. The festival will also encourage attendees to uplift their sustainability initiatives through recycling, composting, and other “Leave No Trace” methods.

Ahead of the 2024 festival, attendees can download the Solshine Reverie mobile app to customize their schedules, view the site map, and receive up-to-the-minute notifications with festival announcements and alerts.
