Saint Punk Debuts on Monstercat with “Empty Bed”

After joining the Monstercat family last March by remixing Tokyo Machine’s “PLAY,” grunge house producer Saint Punk is now debuting his first original record for the label in the form of “Empty Bed.”

The track opens up with a tense four-to-the-floor beat as the deep vocals set the mood of the rest of the production. After the hook , “Empty Bed” takes a heavy turn with an impactful and driving drop featuring aggressive bass stabs and crisp drums. Throughout this production, Saint Punk ensures that his signature sound is heard with resonating basses, deep zippy synth chords, and heavy grunge house drops.

“Empty Bed” marks a shift in Saint Punk’s production repertoire as he is exploring a main-stage sound while staying true to his his signature grunge house roots. While the world quarantined, Saint Punk took the internationally felt frustration of 2020 and expressed it through his production. He kicked off a series of releases with “Molotov Cocktail,” which was a cathartic expression of his disdain for police brutality. It was a protest anthem in its own right that saw support from the likes of What So Not, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Codeko, Drezo, and Styles & Complete.

Finishing off the year strong, Saint Punk unleashed music monthly, including his STMPD debut “It’s Alright (Not),” — a driving, staccato track that seeks to remind his listeners that they can still find happiness through music.

Saint Punk also commits to making himself a source of information for fans, sharing his studio knowledge with his Band Practice YouTube series, bringing fans behind the curtain and showing them just how his studio magic is made.
