Italian Legend Miro Shares 4-Track EP Passion Night Alongside Massimo Urbani

In one of the most interesting releases we’ve seen unveiled so far this year, legendary Italian electronic music producer Miro has joined forces with acclaimed Italian jazz saxophone virtuoso Massimo Urbani to share “Passion Night,” a track that was originally created in the late 80s and has been kept unreleased for over 35 years now. This unusual yet incredible release comes paired with a laid-back remix from Miro, as well as an ambient house remix from none other than Julyo, all courtesy of Italo-disco and Italo-house label Disco Segreta.

The unique story of “Passion Night” dates all the way back to 1985, when Mario Baldoni aka Miro wrote it, and teamed up with legendary South-African sound engineer Allan Goldberg to finalize it two years later. The project’s team also included co-writer Gregorio Puccio, as well as vocalists Giulia Fasolino and Silver Pozzoli, who would go on to dominate the italo-disco scene over the next years.

“Passion Night,” alongside its additional remixes is out now on all platforms, while an extra lo-fi remix by LoFi Jazz is exclusively available on Bandcamp.
