Immersed Build Infectious Late-night Energy on “Contagious”
Immersed, the collaborative project from Brazilian producers Öwnboss and Scorsi, continue the rollout of their forthcoming six-track debut EP with the release of “Contagious,” the project’s fifth single following recent releases “Now You See Me,” “Tantra,” “The Last Time,” and “In Rotation.”
“Contagious is about that moment when the energy on the dancefloor completely takes over. We wanted to create something that pulls people in from the very beginning and keeps building without ever letting go. The repetitive vocal hook became the perfect foundation because it mirrors that feeling of getting lost in the music, where the rhythm becomes impossible to resist. Everything was designed to feel hypnotic, immersive, and, true to the title, contagious.” – Öwnboss and Scorsi.
Immersed emerged organically from the creative partnership between the two producers, who first collaborated under the Öwnboss & Scorsi name on their remix of Nari & Milani’s “Atom.” The remix quickly gained traction within the electronic music community and entered the sets of artists including Steve Angello, where it remained a fixture for years. What began as a single collaboration soon revealed a deeper creative alignment, leading the pair to develop Immersed as a dedicated project built around groove, atmosphere, and a distinct sonic identity. Since launching earlier this year, each release has unveiled another layer of the project’s evolving sound, steadily building anticipation for the duo’s debut EP, arriving later this year via Sony Music.
Recently profiled by Beatportal as a project where “emotion and impact, melody and weight, euphoria and aggression all coexist inside the same records,” Immersed continues to explore those contrasts on “Contagious.” Opening with an immediate pulse of driving percussion and an infectious vocal refrain, the track wastes no time locking listeners into its hypnotic groove. Layer by layer, the production gradually intensifies through evolving rhythms, atmospheric textures, and deep low-end movement before unfolding into a series of powerful club-ready drops. Built around repetition and momentum, “Contagious” captures the feeling of surrendering to the dancefloor, where every new element raises the energy while remaining rooted in the track’s minimalist, late-night aesthetic.
