We’re ready for the gnarliest tour of the Summer to hit all throughout the United States and Europe. GRiZ will be riding through the months of May all the way until October with his long-anticipated ‘Ride Waves’ tour. With snippets of singles released off the album months prior, Ride Waves finally made its public debut across all music platforms just last month. GRiZ blew his fifth studio album out of the water with this collection of tracks. Bringing talent from all spectrums of the music scene, you can expect to catch vocals from Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Matisyahu, and DRAM amongst other talented musicians.

As the first day of the Ride Waves tour commences, GRiZ has announced his partnership with legendary global surf brand founder Bob Hurly and mixed media artist Berk Visual to create a custom-made surfboard at Hurley International’s headquarters. GRiZ portrays his life-long passion for art and creativity with culture and craftsmanship in an intimate board-shaping session that has been captured in a special video available for viewing below. The surfboard design was meticulously crafted by the sax king along with a set of 12 limited-edition posters made at the iconic Hurley Printing Press. All items are uniquely hand-made, specific for each city along the tour.

Surfing through the country, the 12-date run stops at all venues from intimate theaters to large-scale music festivals. In addition to the United States shows, there are several international dates throughout the summer to catch as well. Fans can enter to win a poster along any stop of the Ride Waves tour, and the custom surfboard raffle can be entered here. One lucky winner will be awarded the surfboard, one runner-up fan will be awarded $50 to the GRiZ online merch store and a signed vinyl, two runners up will win $25 to the GRiZ online merch store and a signed vinyl, and one poster winner will be drawn from a separate raffle from every stop along the tour.

Proceeds from the charity raffle will directly benefit Seven Mile Music, an organization supporting music education programs in GRiZ’s hometown of Detroit. With previous successes of supporting future artists from his town, GRiZ strives to push young kids to follow their musical dreams. Raising well over $100,000 for the community with his 2019 GRiZMAS event, we can expect no less from this unique surf duo masterpiece.

We are beyond satisfied with GRiZ’s eclectic sounds resonating in each of the 14 tracks on the Ride Waves album. GRiZ demonstrates his well-known sax sounds along with the “voodoo magical” vibe he incorporated during his recording and writing time spent in New Orleans. Catch a show in your hometown, travel the country to catch Ride Waves at a festival, or fly across the Atlantic for a GRiZ experience in Europe. With all these opportunities to catch GRiZ this Summer, you’re bound to have a blast. Grab your friends and shred some gnar on the dance floor to the beautiful sounds of the sax.
