Galantis Announces Lineup For San Francisco Debut of MIDSOMMAR & New Single

Midsommar is a vibrant celebration of the summer solstice, symbolizing community, new beginnings and life in full bloom. Blurring the lines between reverie and reality, GRAMMY Award-winning Christian Karlsson aka Galantis has announced Claptone, Kungs, Bonnie X Clyde, Raecola and Black Pope will join him at the San Francisco debut of MIDSOMMAR, his immersive show concept that pays homage to these blossoming nights. The celebration is set for Saturday, June 27 at The Midway. 

Experience a unique outdoor party for SF Pride with a world-class lineup of dance music acts as The Midway will be transformed into a floral wonderland with activations mirroring Swedish Midsommar traditions from flower crowns, flower queens and maypoles, and most importantly dancing. Galantis’ Midsommar knows no seasonal boundaries and can be celebrated at any time of the year. It takes the traditional concept and adds Galantis’ euphoric energy becoming Swedish Midsommar in hypercolour.

Meanwhile, 2026 continues to be a very exciting year for Galantis. His new single “Stay Alive”– out now on Ninja Tune imprint Counter Records – introduces a new chapter with Galantis & The Devil’s Tax Return. It is a contemplative song that borders between melancholic and hopeful and makes a sweeping statement for a new direction for Karlsson. As the lyrics have the listener daydreaming about another type of life, it’s the music that conveys a sense of hopefulness. Here we find Galantis at his most personal, an intricate and emotional piece of production that takes something familiar and transforms it into something entirely his own. The song is paired with a music video that shows Karlsson and his everpresent companion Piiper after-hours in a parking lot. It perfectly encapsulates the song’s homage to youthful ennui, turning a late-night shoot with an exhausted crew into something ineffably magical.
