Galantis Announces Return of MIDSOMMAR to Denver’s The Junkyard October 17
Blurring the lines between reverie and reality and paying homage to blossoming nights, Midsommar is a vibrant celebration of summer solstice, symbolizing community, new beginnings and life in full bloom. After bringing this immersive show concept to Los Angeles and San Francisco this year, GRAMMY Award-winning Christian Karlsson aka Galantis announces yet another MIDSOMMAR in Denver, CO. The celebration is set for Saturday, October 17 at The Junkyard arriving alongside the release of Galantis’ new EP, The Devil’s Tax Return: Vol 1 (Counter Records) The artist presale will be held tomorrow, July 15, with the Live Nation, Insomniac, and venue presales to follow on Thursday, July 16. General on sale is set for this Friday, July 17 at 10AM MST here.
For its second turn in Denver following a sold out night at Red Rocks in 2025, Galantis’ MIDSOMMAR will transform The Junkyard into a floral wonderland that includes flower crowns, a flower queen and and most importantly dancing. This special gathering knows no seasonal boundaries and can be celebrated at any time of the year. Using Galantis’ euphoric energy, it takes the traditional concept and makes it hypercolour. Other MIDSOMMAR shows are set for August 22 at The Salt Shed in Chicago and September 11-12 on The Rooftop At Pier 17 in NYC.
Meanwhile, 2026 continues to be a very exciting year for Galantis. His latest singles “Stay Alive” (a melancholy take on Jose Gonzales) and “Do You Mind ”(which sees the DJ breathe new life into Paleface ft. Kyla’s 2007 UK bassline/R&B classic. Propelled into the mainstream by Crazy Cousinz’s legendary 2009 remix before reaching a global audience through Drake’s 2016 smash “One Dance”)– out now on Ninja Tune imprint Counter Records – introduces a new chapter for the artist with The Devil’s Tax Return. The project encompasses reimagined takes on works from a wide span of artists from Frankie Valli and The Killers to Feist and War On Drugs. These were the songs that soundtracked Karlsson’s life when he started Miike Snow, the indie-dance trio known for platinum records “Animal” and “Genghis Khan.” Each selection represents a freedom of expression he was tasting for the first time and a challenge to the formulaic song structures expected from his litany of pop radio hits he co-produced prior to Miike Snow under his Bloodshy moniker alongside Avant (Pontus Winnberg), notably the GRAMMY Award winning “Toxic” (‘Best Dance Recording”), “Piece of Me” and “Radar” for Britney Spears as well as works for Madonna and Katy Perry just to name a few. Galantis’ new EP The Devil’s Tax Return will be released on October 16.
