The Chainsmokers finally release “Closer” music video ahead of new “Collage” EP release on Disruptor Records
Alex Pall and Drew Taggart—better known to EDM lovers as The Chainsmokers—have become two of the biggest pop-stars on the planet following the release of their catchy summer single, “Closer.” The upbeat production features vocals from Halsey.
Following a live performance at the MTV Video Music Awards and complete radio domination, the track is a surefire contender for one of 2016s biggest. In other “Closer” news, The Chainsmokers’ biggest creation to date tops the Billboard Hot 100 for the ninth consecutive week (Oct. 29). The guys announced the official music video for “Closer” has been unveiled today (Monday, Oct. 24th.)

Closing out an incredible 2016, The Chainsmokers were recently announced to perform “Closer” with Halsey at The American Music Awards. The duo received four nominations in the ‘New Artist of the Year,’ ‘Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock,’ ‘Favorite Artist – EDM’ and ‘Collaboration of the Year’ categories. The AMA’s will air Sunday, November 20 at 8|7c on ABC, LIVE from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles – fans can vote via AMAvote.com.
After just earning four American Music Award nominations, and releasing “All We Know” feat. Phoebe Ryan, which reached #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Alex and Drew will deliver even more new music on Nov. 4th. The new EP, “Collage,” which will be released through label, Disruptor Records, is set to feature a new production, “Setting Fires.”
