POPOF Reveals ‘Flashback’ EP via Mindshake Records
Published
2 years agoon
French DJ/Producer POPOF continues his fine 2019 run with the release of his Flashback EP, this time around on Paco Osuna’s esteemed Mindshake Records.
Winding up with three songs including two originals as well as a fiery remix by British artist Latmun, title track “Flashback” blends together loads of crisp percussion, while simultaneously weaving gripping basslines and energetic builds all throughout. Next up is “Take Me Home” which packs loads of swirling synths and drum rolls that send listeners straight to the dancefloor. Latmun’s rendition of “Take Me Home” embodies the Mindshake Records aesthetic beautifully, as he puts signature touches into the mix, serving as an undisputed party cut, and the perfect re-interpretation of POPOF’s original.
Following his critically-lauded Kronic EP on Kaluki Musik back in January, and with his FORM Music imprint going from strength to strength, Flashback marks another landmark label debut from the Parisian. 2019 is filling up quickly with music by POPOF, who remains a hugely recognized name in the world of techno and house music. POPOF continues to evolve his own sound, keeping things fresh and reflecting his endless creativity in both producing and live performance.
