Mochakk & Barry Can’t Swim at Brazil vs Scotland Match in Miami
Ahead of the Brazil vs. Scotland match in Miami, two of the most prominent electronic music artists from their respective countries came together for a unique cultural crossover. Brazilian DJ and producer Mochakk and Scottish artist Barry Can’t Swim represented their nations carrying the official ball of the match to the field before later sharing the stage at Club Space for a special back-to-back set following the match. I’m sharing exclusive photos and videos from the occasion here, should you be interested in featuring it.
Mochakk is currently one of Brazil’s most globally recognized electronic artists, coming off a major year that included a peak-time sunset set at Coachella, an official remix of Nina Simone’s “See-Line Woman,” and his fifth consecutive season at Circoloco Ibiza, while continuing to expand his internationally acclaimed Mochakk Calling event series. Barry Can’t Swim has likewise become one of the UK’s most celebrated electronic artists, following a breakout run that included a Mercury Prize nomination and sold-out headline shows across Europe and North America.
With Brazil and Scotland facing off on the pitch, it was a noteworthy moment to see two artists who have become leading representatives of their countries’ electronic music scenes come together in Miami before closing out the night behind the decks.
