Along with NYC’s summer heat, the city’s effortlessly cool electronic music duo The Knocks are continuing their hot streak in a new single “No Requests” out now via Big Beat/Neon Gold/Atlantic Records.

The track combines classic old-school 90’s house elements with funk and international flair. The Knocks have once again proved with this record their limitless musical versatility and innate ability to please dance enthusiasts around the world. “No Requests” features tight basslines with loose drums that equally balance out to one snazzy piece.

This song is a return to The Knocks’ early club roots, incorporating elements of acid house, disco flair, and a vocal sample reminiscent of 1990’s funk. “No Requests” follows The Knocks’ recent worldly collaborative single “Awa Ni” featuring the Nigerian singer Kah-Lo. The duo is also in the midst of their recently-unveiled residency at JEMAA, the pool party at the Nomad Hotel in Las Vegas which continues through August. They are also interspersing other tour dates as well.
