Martin Garrix Leaves Spinnin’ Records, Releases Official Statement

19-year-old Dutch DJ/producer Martin Garrix has announced today (August 26) that he will be parting ways with Spinnin’ Records B.V. and MusicAllstars B.V. due to differences in opinion between the talent and the label.

 

Nullifying and terminating all contracts, terms and agreements with MusicAllstars B.V. and Spinnin Records B.V., Martijn Garritsen—known by his DJ name Martin Garrix—informed fans of his departure from the entity on his social media platforms.

 

In an official statement released today, Garrix revealed that was eager to share good news and new music at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, which hits Holland in October.

 

Garrix revealed that since the beginning of 2015, he attempted to gain ownership rights of his music from Spinnin’ and to keep his confidence in MAS. While in the statement Martijn goes on to explain that he is “extremely disappointed that the discussions [between the artist and label] have not led to a change in the agreements or return of the ownership rights, [which] is why [he] nullified them.”
