Future house pioneer Tchami has been killing the game for ages, consistently creating extraordinary music for fans all over the globe. With such a highly-acclaimed status as a producer, it’s shocking that the French electronic music mainstay didn’t have a single studio album on his discography, until now.
Tchami has finally answered our prayers with the release of his highly anticipated debut album, Year Zero, out now via his very own Confession label. The magnificent 16-track release was surely one worth the wait, a perfect assortment of energetic, dance floor friendly tunes bound to blow listeners away. After listening to the album’s refreshing and cutting-edge tunes from beginning to end, it’s clear why the Parisian producer took his sweet time with this one.
The album features pre-released singles “Proud” ft. Daecolm, “Buenos Aries”, “Praise” ft. Gunna, “Born Again”, “Ghosts”, and “Faith”, singles that gave fans only a tiny glimpse of what the rest of the album would embody. Album opener “Heartless” kicks the project off on an uplifting 90’s house note, while the awaited collaboration with ZHU titled “All On Me” exposes a mind-blowing bassline intertwined with infectious house drops. More heartfelt tunes like “Sweet Savage” and “Damaged Hearts” add a sensual, emotive touch to the album’s overall feel, and the remaining tracks are nothing short of extraordinary to say the least.
Year Zero showcases Tchami’s unparalleled ingenious nature from beginning to end, with each track encompassing its own distinct sound design. As his first-ever studio album, this release marks a tremendous milestone in the future house prodigy’s music career, and he’s only going to continue astonishing us with his unmatched production capabilities from this point on.
