Mr. Markus Schulz is heading back to Sin City—and this time it’s for an EDC Week 2016 opening showcase. Kicking things off at the renowned Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, there’s no better way to get the week started than with a high octane and uplifting set from the “unicorn slayer” himself.

Thousands of electronic dance music (EDM) fans—both newcomers and veterans—will gather in Las Vegas during EDC Week to attend a weeklong string of pool party and nightclub events all leading up to Electric Daisy Carnival.

One half of New World Punx—the DJ project with himself and Ferry Corsten—Markus Schulz has an array of signature sounds between his solo productions, NWP, and his Dakota alias. Markus has become known to many for his fiery and ferocious sound, which is elevating and captivating. Whether deep and dark rabbit hole-style or uplifting and grungy, Markus always delivers with his DJ sets, which is what makes his EDC Week show a must-see.

The Coldharbour Recordings creator is an electronic music veteran with more than a decade of producing and DJing under his belt. This year, Markus released his latest studio album, Watch The World, which included collaborations with noteworthy acts such as Kyau & Albert (“Fears”), Soundland (“Facedown”), Adina Butar (“You and I”), Lady V (“Watch the World”), Ethan Thompson (“Love Me Like You Never Did”), Delacey (“Destiny”) and more.
