Yellow Claw Praises Trap Genre With New Album ‘JESUS LOVES TRAP MUSIC’
The Dutch duo known as Yellow Claw have built a global reputation for firing up parties with their signature fusion of trap, bass, and hardstyle energy. From the very beginning, they’ve established a culture that goes beyond records, it’s about sweat-soaked dance floors, hands in the air, and a community that rides together. Now, they bring it full circle with JESUS LOVES TRAP MUSIC, a 20-track body of work that dives straight back into the heart of trap.
“Had a lot of fun working on a big project again. 20 records and we could play each and everyone of them in a DJ set. The idea for a full on trap album came after we started playing a lot of older trap records again and we found out that those songs stood the test of time. It inspired us. Both the impact of the songs from 2014/2015 and the memories people and ourselves treasure to the genre. We went to work. Some older songs we never finished even found their way into the project.” – Yellow claw
The album opens with “Lucid” featuring Aida Sofia, a hypnotic entry point where airy melodies meet snappy percussion, perfectly setting the stage for the explosive energy to follow. “LUV” hits hard with booming subs and crisp hi-hats, delivering a no-frills trap banger that feels both immediate and festival-ready. Following that, “Take It All” keeps the adrenaline flowing, layering punchy synth stabs over stomping drum patterns to drive the crowd into full motion.
“Keep Your Hands Up” with ARMNHMR and nmgKeymo is a peak-hour weapon with elements of hard-trap in full force. Meanwhile, “Deep In The Underground” brings fans into darker territory, weaving gritty textures with rolling sub-bass to create that warehouse-level trap intensity. The swagger returns in “ALL MFS” with Ceres, where playful vocal chops and percussive bounce make this track instantly memorable. “Hot Like This” with Acyan keeps the energy relentless, combining distorted basslines with rapid-fire percussion that hits like a sonic punch. “Oblivious” featuring Zaya slows things down just enough to balance melody with weight, and “At Night” continues that late-night groove, with hypnotic synths and head-nodding rhythm anchoring the track.
Tension builds in “Running Out Of Time” with RemK, a track that teases and releases with explosive drum hits and powerful bass drops, while “Donuts” with Liza delivers playful, wonky energy that keeps the listener on their toes. “Touch It” explodes with aggressive drums and distorted synths, a mainstage-ready banger fans will feel instantly in their chest. “Out Of Focus” dives into immersive sub-bass and rolling percussion, creating a hypnotic, underground vibe. “Deep Inside” rounds out this sequence with ominous low-end textures, letting the listener sink fully into a darker, more intense soundscape.
“Ridin’ Thru The City” featuring 504icygrl injects trap-rap swagger into the album, combining rhythmic flows with hard-hitting percussion to energize any club or festival. “Killing It” with Yung Raja raises the stakes with a high-impact collaboration that merges rap attitude and festival trap in perfect harmony. “Max Damage” with REXY=DEXY and nmgKeymo lives up to its name, packing explosive synths and crushing drum patterns that make it a must-play track for any mainstage which has been rinsed across clubs and festivals in Asia.
Loading the gun and firing off with explosive trap signatures, “Trap Anthem” throws it back to where it all began. A slower, stomping tempo layered with distorted vocals and pounding drum claps guarantees fans will break it down low. It’s a call to the hard-trap faithful and a reminder of the 2014–2015 era that shaped a generation of festival moments. Closing with “LSD (VIP)” with Syaqish, the album ends on a warped, high-impact note alongside twisted synths and relentless drops that leave no room for doubt
Globally recognized for establishing their own party culture and building a movement through their label Barong Family, Yellow Claw continue to evolve without abandoning their roots. From early trap classics to now, they’ve proven one thing that this sound never dies. “JESUS LOVES TRAP MUSIC” is for the day ones. For the fans who remember the impact. For the crowds ready to lose it when the 808 hits. Trap is back in full force and Yellow Claw are leading the charge. Listen to JEZUS LOVES TRAP MUSIC out now on all major streaming platforms.
