Oliver Heldens Presents HI-LO ‘Athena Remixes’ EP via Octopus Recordings

Earlier this year, HI-LO made his grand Octopus Recordings appearance with powerful single “Athena,” and its infectious melody continues to live on with the techno imprint’s remix package of the chart-topping tune. Out now, the Athena Remix EP features 5 remarkable reworks of the already mesmerizing single. 

The stellar 5-track ensemble features exotic sounds from Oliver Heldens, the mastermind behind the HI-LO alias himself, as he sets the tone for the rest of the EP with a catchy radio edit of his own creation. Octopus Recordings mainstay Ramon Tapia then takes over with his booming rendition of the single, followed by the dark, mind-blowing version from flourishing talent Alex Stein.

Before the final unveiling of the electrifying EP, Oliver Heldens and Octopus Recordings leader Sian held an exclusive “Athena” remix contest to feature the qualified winner’s unique production skills on the finalized project. Without being able to decide between two top-notch remixes, tied contest winners Demon Noise and Tomas Otera close out the EP with their own well-deserved leading take on the techno-driven tune.
