Bringing an immense amount of nostalgia to the table, DJ/Producer soundslikeLANG has landed with his debut EP Midnight and the City.

Spanning three tracks, this EP offers something for everyone. The tracks are “Back When…,” “Last Train Home,” and “Fire Alarm.” “Back When…” sets the mood for the entire musical journey ahead with emotive instrumental chords and a delicate intro. Soothing beats combine effortlessly with piano moments for a cohesively gorgeous track.

Moving into “Last Train Home,” the EP continues to roll out with a very mellow tone. Groovy elements take center stage as the chilled-out vibes create a silky smooth production overall. The soft and beautiful rhythms laced into this track make it the perfectly adored tune that it is. Closing out the EP is “Fire Alarm” which clocks in at just over four minutes. Taking the energy up a notch, “Fire Alarm” has a driving house beat that is simply irresistible. Still encompassing a chill tone throughout, Midnight and the City is an impressively creative soundtrack as a whole.

For a bit of background on soundslikeLANG, he was once a professional inline skater, traveling the world and performing at festivals and venues all over. In 2014 that career came to an end, where
he sustained a traumatic brain injury that left him with an 80% chance of mortality. The repercussionsof his brain injury left him with a serious case of tinnitus. To overcome these obstacles, he spent his
time in recovery, rehabilitating his mind, body, and soul with the guitar, which eventually helped the
symptoms of tinnitus subside. This is where he found the ultimate healing power of music, through
listening and producing it.

One thing is certain- Midnight and the City is setting the bar high for soundslikeLANG’s 2022 and we can’t wait to see what else is in store. Stay tuned for more music to come.
