French electronic dance music producer Julien Scalzo blesses us with his newest track. For this one he teamed up with the high-energy versatile soulful vocalist Suki Soul. Their collaboration “Dont Stop”, out on Marvellous Tunes, is the first track of many to come by these two amazing artists. Their second collaboration “Boogie Freak” will be released on April 22nd as an exclusive on Beatport.
Julien is mostly known for his soulfully infused progressive house tracks. “Don’t Stop” is no exception. The track starts off with some fantastic 70s beats to get you right in. This is all while Suki tells you to don’t stop – something that is almost impossible with this booty shaker of a track. “Don’t Stop” is a fantastic testimony of what happens when you combine vintage sounds from the 90s and the funk era with a modern twist.
“During the confinement I took advantage of it to compose new tracks and also to exploit social networks to make new relationships. It was through this means that I spotted the singer Suki Soul from the UK whom I had offered to work on a few songs. She was immediately enthusiastic and accepted my proposal to work together” – Julien Scalzo
In other words, with “Don’t Stop” these two have created the perfect and early summertime tune. Their collaboration has a perfect summer Ibiza feeling written all over. “Don’t Stop” will be released globally on March 11th and for now remains a Beatport exclusive.
