The duo who has earned global acclaim, Galantis, has finally released their third studio album Church on Big Beat Records after much anticipation and excitement. The collection consists of 14 unique tracks along with a heartfelt dance-packed video for the collaboration with Hook N Sling, “Never Felt A Love Like This” featuring Dotan.
Church allows listeners to embark on a thrilling sonic journey, and with such a title, is meant to bring each other with a greater sense of community and imagination.
“It’s important for us to have meaning behind our music… ‘Church’ doesn’t necessarily refer to a building or specific religion, but instead to people banded together in similar belief for a better humanity. Whether it’s advocating peace, change, or just lifting each other up – that is our ‘Faith’ and ‘Church.’”
-Galantis
This third album, is their first new album in three years, following their LPs The Aviary (2017) and Pharmacy (2015). It features their major single, “Faith” with country music star, Dolly Parton featuring Dutch artist, Mr. Probz. The single also reached a #1 debut on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Chart before quickly soaring to the #1 spot on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart, holding that title for 5 weeks. Since then, it has already racked up over 33 million streams and more than 6 million music video views. Other major news outlets such as Rolling Stone, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, NPR, Huffington Post and more have shown great support, helping to gain even more traction on this huge album.
Church’s track list also includes monumental collaborations with OneRepublic on “Bones,” Passion Pit on “I Found U, ”Yellow Claw on “We Can Get High,” as well as new exceptional tracks such as “Never Felt A Love Like This” with Hook N Sling” featuring Dotan and “Hurricane” with John Newman. As a follow up to the album’s surprise announcement last weekend, Galantis quickly shared lyric videos for “Steel,” “Unless It Hurts,” and “Stella” in order to countdown to the big release.
The Church of Galantis tour is set to start next week with sequential performances at Brooklyn NY’s Avant Gardner on Feburary 14th & 15th, continuing through April until its final stop at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on April 14th. Galantis is ready for a big year of accomplishments with this major tour ahead, and the duo has already announced their upcoming collaboration with Swedish street wear brand, WeSC, an exclusive capsule collection that will be coming to stores this August.
