Blanke Expands His Album Universe With Second EP ‘SKYFIRE’

Blanke, the project of Australian-born, Denver-based producer and DJ, returns today with PART II – SKYFIRE , a two-track EP and the second installment in the series leading to his debut album later this year. The project arrives as one of bass music’s most purposeful builders continues to deepen his creative world, track by track, on his own terms.

SKYFIRE expands the sonic and conceptual framework established in the first EP, while introducing new textures and emotional range. The two tracks, “Arsenal” and “Beautiful Tragedy,” each represent a distinct facet of that world: “Arsenal” revisits and reframes Blanke’s original sound with renewed precision and energy, while “Beautiful Tragedy” draws from the melodic roots that first drew him to dance music, channeling the emotion and momentum of progressive house through a more refined, present-day lens. Together, they advance a narrative arc that is as intentional as it is immersive.

“Part II of the EP cycle, ‘Skyfire is another installment to my album series. This time slightly different soundscapes but still living in the same world and still presenting the duality of the world we’re building. This is the second phase of the story, where meteors fall down onto a crumbling Earth, but bring with them something new. Something hopeful. What is meant to be destructive, is instead bringing a new light.” – Blanke

The EP arrives at a pivotal moment in Blanke’s trajectory. 2026 has seen Blanke operating on multiple fronts with quiet confidence, direct support runs with REZZ, festival appearances at Ubbi Dubbi, a forthcoming mainstage performance at Beyond Wonderland at The Gorge, and an upcoming return to Rampage Open Air in Europe. In parallel, his drum and bass alias ÆON:MODE has been commanding its own momentum, with headline shows across the US and UK, appearances at EDC Las Vegas and Coachella, and a summer European festival run that includes Tomorrowland, a mainstage slot at Liquicity, and Let It Roll.

That dual presence is not incidental, it reflects how Blanke has consistently approached his craft. Where many artists operate within a single lane, Blanke has built two fully realized worlds and moves between them with artistic fluency. SKYFIRE is a product of that discipline: a focused, forward-moving statement that doesn’t rush its own story. SKYFIRE is not a detour or a standalone release, it is the next page of something larger. With his debut album on the horizon, Blanke is building toward a statement that the body of work has always been pointing toward.
