Acoustic Performances in an Intimate Setting With PUUR

Beautiful music in a semi-acoustic setting. That’s “PUUR”. Mart Hoogkamer, Bizzey and Belle Perez are the first three artists to be heard and seen here, with specially adapted arrangements and also songs that are not standard on their set list. They are accompanied by the M&M Band, the regular backing band of Mart Hoogkamer, among others.

PUUR is inspired by the well-known Tiny Desk concerts, but with its own twist. The very first episode is reserved for Mart Hoogkamer. The singer opens his almost half-hour set with Unchained Melody, where he puts the music of famous dutch singer Rob de Nijs in the spotlight with a medley. During his performance he also sings other famous Dutch songs, “Amor, Amor, Amor” by André Hazes and a Nederpop (Dutch) Medley. Of course Mart is also including his own hits “Hartslag van de stad” a duet with Tino Martin (which he sings alone this time) and “Ik Ga Zwemmen.”

The second episode will be released online on July 10. Here we get to hear music from Bizzey (former Yellow Claw). He already finished the recordings of this unique performance, in which he performed his hits “Weekend”, “Zin in de zomer” and “Traag.” During his performance with the M&M band he gave all his songs a new spin.

Finally, Belle Perez is the third artist and can be seen from August 7. The Belgian singer is responsible for the summer special and provides the ultimate summer feeling for viewers at home, with their own songs such as “El Mundo Bailando”, “Que Viva La Vida”, “Jij Denkt Maar Dat Je Alles Mag van Mij” and her famous Gipsy Medley. Fans can look forward to an interesting intimate musical set.

The first episode of PUUR can now be viewed for free on YouTube. After the third episode, more names of artists will be revealed that will be part of this project.
