Brooklyn-based Imanos AKA James Somani, has come in hot with new dance track “Like Loving You” out now on independent dance label, Deux Trois. The rising producer has joined with up and coming artist, c.wong for an electric new pop-infused single to end the summer. The track highlights each artist’s signature style to bring us a catchy new tune that is not just another breakup song.
From hits with artists such as Diplo, Pusha T, and Jessie J, Imanos continues to use his club roots in combination with pop inspirations on “Like Loving You.” This new release follows “Choices” his most recent collaboration with Norwegian electronic pop duo, KREAM out now on Big Beat. It is approaching almost three million streams on Spotify and was even featured in Apple Music’s major playlist, danceXL since its March release date.
Imanos, originally from Vancouver, has made his way around a variety of music scenes since his beginnings of juggling school and gigs in New York. The newcomer started making music at a young age and landed a remix gig for Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang” with Gramercy. He continued to rise as a DJ through residencies at NYC nightclubs and soon became a tastemaker in the electronic music scene. Now, with a lengthy discography of releases, he notably co-produced and was featured on Diplo’s “Revolution” with Faustix and Kai in addition to co-writing the title track off of Jessie J’s album Sweet Talker. Through these projects he has gained support from the likes of, Skrillex, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Pete Tong, A-Trak, and more. His debut single, “Gunshy” featuring Pusha T was featured on the major soundtrack for action film xXx: Return of Xander Cage as well as in the national ad campaign for simple mobile. Imanos will continue to shine bright and release new music via his newly launched imprint, Summer Somewhere.
