Drunken Kong Arrives with Second Full-Length Album ‘Where We Start’

Japanese techno-duo Drunken Kong kicked off the new decade with the release of their highly anticipated second album, Where We Start. With sixteen captivating tracks, the album is the artists’ most extensive body of work to date. Out now via Tronic Music, Where We Start brings an explosive sound to listeners across the globe.

Tokyo-based group Drunken Kong has taken over the global electronic music scene by storm since their debut album release of “The Signs Within” in 2017. All of their releases during that year reached Beatport’s Top 100 Techno chart. With support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Deadmau5, Pan Pot, and Boris Brejcha- the duo has received international recognition from industry leaders of all genres. With multiple Asian and European tours under their belt, the two have continuously stunned listeners in Japan’s biggest clubs and across the globe.

Where We Start brings thirteen brand new Drunken Kong originals and three collaborations with Mainz-based Teenage Mutants and Tronic owner Christian Smith. Showcasing their creative and obscure talent, the tracks all tell a different story with some tracks bringing warehouse vibes whereas others bring more nostalgic progressive tones.

“Our new album, “Where We Start” was built around an idea and inspiration that came from our new stage in life, which was parenting.  Having a child, was something new to us and we wanted to create an album which directly reflected and captured various feelings and emotions we had at different moments.” – Drunken Kong

Drunken Kong will continue to take over the Tokyo scene, playing regularly at WOMB, Ageha, Unit, Vent and Sankeys TYO. They also host their own resident party called ‘INTENTION’ and will keep pushing their musical influence to other regions of Asia. Where We Start is out now on Tronic Music and available for streaming on all platforms.
