Founded in 2012 by pivotal underground artist Behrouz and his wife Megan Nazari, Do Not Sit On The Furniture started as a Miami nightclub and has now blossomed into an underground music label and global brand. Centered in Miami Beach, Do Not Sit On The Furniture is hosting five nights of connoisseur musical acts this year. With a vital team of residents, Burning Man inspired décor, craft cocktails, and good vibes all around, the cult club’s sophisticated and welcoming aura shines through.
After a six-month whirlwind tour across the world, Behrouz is back and ready to continue his beautiful journey beside good friends Matthias Meyer and Brian Cid. You never know who else will show up to join in the mix so make sure to pop on over to Do Not Sit on this night! Tickets for the event are available here.
Do Not Sit will be hosting five other Art Basel events beyond Friday’s show with Behrouz. Kicking off tomorrow, December 5th with multi-Grammy nominated artist Felix Da Housecat for his Do Not Sit debut (see below video for his thoughts on the upcoming shindig.) He’ll be joined by Montreal’s Lebaron and Miami favorite Archila. Sabo & Goldcap will follow on December 6th to bring their Burning Man-feels right in the heart of Miami, after showcasing an incredible set at this year’s installation in the famed desert fest. Club friends Holmar, KMLN, and a very special guest will take over the space on Saturday, December 8th, leading to a dual takeover on Sunday the 9th in both SoBe and Wynwood. Argentina’s master of the underground, Hernan Cattaneo and bonafide legend and The Soundgarden head, Nick Warren will hold it down at the club, meanwhile, Do Not Sit and Members Only are throwing the party in Wynwood at Cafeina Wynwood for an all day and night fiesta.
Behrouz & Friends Art Basel Edition takes place at 423 16th Street, Miami Beach from 10PM – 5AM.
