Lost Desert Releases Brand-New ‘Drift’ EP
Lost Desert’s latest EP Drift unfolds as a deeply atmospheric journey, beginning with “Drift A Little Longer,” where Aiola’s delicate vocal performance glides over warm, melodic layers and a patiently evolving groove. The momentum continues with “Aalam Waahid,” an expansive composition driven by organic percussion and rich sonic textures that gradually draw listeners deeper into its hypnotic rhythm. Together, the two tracks establish an immersive and emotionally resonant opening chapter.
On the flip side, Lost Desert teams up with Paul Ross for “Shooting Stars,” a radiant collaboration built around shimmering synth melodies and uplifting energy. The release concludes with the “Beatless Dream Mix,” a stripped-back reinterpretation that transforms the original into a floating ambient experience, emphasizing atmosphere and emotion over rhythm while providing a serene closing moment to the collection.
A longstanding fixture within the All Day I Dream family, Lost Desert has steadily built a reputation through solo releases, collaborative projects, and appearances at the label’s events around the world. Since making his debut on the imprint in 2016 with “Lingala” alongside Lee Burridge, he has remained one of the label’s most consistent creative voices. Lost Desert has continued his active run with contributions to A Winter Sampler VII and joined showcases across Cape Town, Montenegro, and Barcelona, with additional international appearances still to come.
