Germany’s No. 1 Club Bootshaus Celebrates 20th Anniversary

For two decades, Bootshaus has been an integral part of German music culture and over the past few years it has established itself as Germany’s #1 club and one of the best clubs in the world. With over 200,000 visitors each and every year, this fabled club attracts more than just the regular Cologne residents but is also a magnet for fans outside of Germany. Bootshaus is widely known for its legendary dedicated devoted fan base that many superstars want to experience for themselves. It is no wonder that over these last years many international superstars like David Guetta, Tiësto, Afrojack or DJ Snake, who usually only perform in front of tens of thousands of fans at big festivals played at this amazing club.

This and the special ambience of the old boat warehouse is what has made the club become what it is today: a mecca for electronic music. Bootshaus has not only been an unforgettable musical venue over the past two decades, but has created experiences with its brands Blacklist, Nibirii and Loonyland that have successfully shaped international festivals.

Bootshaus branded Festivals

Bootshaus has been organizing the Nibirii Festival at the Düren bathing lake since 2019 is taking place for the third time and attracts around 40,000 visitors every year. The Blacklist Festival in Oberhausen is successful as well, attracting around 6,500 visitors and becoming a major player in the festival landscape.

Among other things, Bootshaus will say goodbye to the Function1 sound system in 2024, serving faithfully these last 12 years by filling the club with a wide variety of music. The main floor will be equipped with the most modern L-Accoustics sound system to create an even more impressive club experience. In addition, the team is currently working on new, innovative room concepts and floor concepts. This innovation will allow guests to continue to stay and enjoy incomparable nights in a unique atmosphere.
