Butch Drops a Tech-fueled One-two Punch on The Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves soundtrack

The soundtrack for FATAL FURY: City of The Wolves continues to bolster its star-studded roster, now unveiling a duo of singles from house music mainstay, Butch. Titled “Murcielago” and “When I Was Young”, the two productions add a techy twist to the dynamic electronic OST, providing a vibrant and varied backdrop for the franchise’s gripping gameplay. The soundtrack levels up on November 21, when “Murcielago” and “When I Was Young” hit streaming services everywhere.

Each of Butch’s two new tracks carries its own identity, but both clearly play the long game. “Murcielago” opens with a patient, confident groove, steadily building toward a moment that draws listeners in through its cerebral, ebb-and-flow production. What initially feels like an exercise in hypnotic repetition evolves into a masterclass in progression, bursting into an expansive, atmospheric melody in the final round that captivates with both space and intent.

“When I Was Young” makes for a perfect pairing, offering a similar sense of evolution but through a more introspective lens. Where “Murcielago”‘s bass bounces, this one broods, setting the stage for a more delicate production from start to finish. The track is just as much about the journey as the destination, again opening a window in the second half to a cinematic sense of melody that leaves no loose ends.

With recent soundtrack contributions from Solomun, Afrojack, Luciano, and ARTBAT, Butch’s addition strengthens FATAL FURY’s reputation as one of the most dynamic franchises in gaming today. With a tracklist as varied as the game’s roster of fighters, FATAL FURY continues to break new ground in the gaming landscape.
