Lalzin Releases ‘Party, Love & Funky’

From a young age, Lalzin showed musical potential. He played violin and trumpet from age seven to fourteen before moving onto producing electronic music. It was the love of wobble bass that initially drove Lalzin to making a name for himself in the house scene, but along the way, he perfected the trap-influenced breakdown that transitions into a big drop, leaving listeners with unique, enticing sounds to lead them along each song’s journey. While Lalzin can make heavy bangers, his tracks are also filled with UK flavor and funky tech vibes to set the mood in a live-setting. Now the talented french DJ/Producer is back with his brand new album Party, Love & Funk.

“The idea of making an album had been on my mind for a long time. People often think you need to be a “big name” in the scene, a DJ Snake or someone of that caliber to dare releasing a full album. I wanted to prove the opposite. I wanted to do things my own way, with sincerity and passion. “Party, Love & Funk” is simply me. A romantic party-lover, in love with funk, disco, and that sunny energy that makes people dance. With his new album Lalzin explores funk in all its forms: from 80s grooves to modern house, including more unexpected fusions like funk-reggaeton. Because limiting funk to just one style would go against its very spirit: freedom, pleasure, and celebration. He took inspiration from events in his life to create the album using love stories, encounters, and even disappointments. Above all though he aimed to create something joyous which he has undoubtedly achieved in emphatic fashion.
