Kaskade Replaces Tiësto at the Super Bowl

Kaskade will replace Tiësto on Sunday during the Super Bowl LVIII. The Los Angeles-based DJ and producer will be performing in place of Tiësto, who was forced to cancel just days before the big game. Kaskade will perform prior to the game and during the breaks at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The news arrives just hours after Tiësto announced the unfortunate cancellation, which he attributed to a “personal family emergency.” Kaskade, who was recently nominated for a Grammy Award and regularly hosts high-profile DJ residencies in Las Vegas, will now fill in.

Tiësto would be the first DJ ever to play during the Super Bowl. However, he announced on Thursday that he had to cancel due to a family emergency. The performances that the DJ has planned for Friday in New York and Saturday in Las Vegas are still in his agenda.

Kaskade will perform a set prior to kickoff and stick around as the in-game DJ as he plays during featured breaks within the game, in turn becoming the first to perform throughout the Super Bowl. Portions of his historic performance will air on CBS’ Super Bowl LVIII broadcast and stream live on the DJ’s social media channels.

Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled for February 11th at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. The Niners are 1.5-point favorites at the time of writing, per ESPN.
