Eli Brown Drops 3rd 92 Thing Collection Ahead Of Return To The Brooklyn Storehouse
Just one week before making his triumphant return to New York City for a MASSIVE takeover of the Brooklyn Storehouse on June 14, Eli Brown proves once again that his evolution is boundless, with the third fashion release from his streetwear brand, 92 Thing. Akin to his non-conformist approach to music production, the brand transcends the conventional approach to artist merchandising through a high-artistic, hypebeast inspired lens – inspired by the famed era of Bristol’s sonic underground which Brown ascended from, 92 Thing captures the audacious spirit and style of 1992’s rave scene.
The brand’s third limited-run collection will feature three entirely new pieces – his most intricate and artful designs to date. Setting a new cultural benchmark, Brown fuses common themes from classical fine art with the chaotic energy of the rave scene, beckoning fans deeper into his surreal, sinister realm, densely packed with landscapes that blend the sacred with the psychedelic.
While each design is centered around the instantly-recognizable 92 Thing logo, there are three distinctive design elements woven carefully within each piece as the multi-hyphenate juxtaposes the ornate elegance of Victorian and Gothic decorative styles with the cold, sleek aesthetic of the brand’s techno-industrial style. More on each design below:
- Silver Thorns – To evoke a sense of beauty within chaos, Brown creates a labyrinthine of barbed wire around ornamental letterforms, referencing classical craftsmanship and romanticism, while the entangling barbed wire adds a sense of restriction and urgency, creating a raw, urgent feeling. The design, inspired by his track, “Believe” explores themes of belief and optimism, where delicate forms are bound and tested, caught between the grandeur of the past and the stark edges of the present.
- The Bloom Of Ecstacy – Inspired by the visual language from the late medieval and early Renaissance periods, Brown cleverly nods to rave culture through symbolism, creating a modern mysticism through sensory overload and euphoric intensity. Featuring engraved embellishments, floral curls and mythological beasts, the design is an echo of Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights. Each illustrated element is more than just decoration – gesturing toward themes of mortality, virtue and the grotesque, Brown transforms the Medieval ecstasy of life and death into a metaphor for the collective release his sonic compositions create on the dancefloor.
- Neo-Techno Tracery – The third and final design pulls inspiration from the surreal ornamentation of the Baroque design period and fuses it with the structured intensity of neo-techno aesthetics. The only piece with color, the blood-red design references his track, “Be The One”. A sharpened and exaggerated form of architectural tracery pulling a strong visual emphasis to the words, mirroring the track’s message – centering the self, standing apart and owning the presence within a larger system. The use of color furthers this narrative – distinction, not dominance.
92 Thing’s Capsule Collection 3 will officially arrive on-sale on Friday, June 6, 2025. Sign-up for exclusive pre-sale of the limited run collection is available now, HERE.
