Blonde Maze Unveils ‘Second Sight’
Blonde Maze, the New York-based producer, songwriter, and vocalist known for her emotionally rich electronica sound, announces her sophomore album Second Sight, out on Enhanced Chill. A longtime presence in the indie-electronic space, Blonde Maze (aka Amanda Steckler Levesque) has steadily built a name through standout releases on Enhanced Music, Monstercat, Armada, This Never Happened, and more.
“Second Sight captures the mind and heart’s incredible ability to learn how to love in new ways. It’s about letting heartbreak teach you what you need and how much you are able to give – so that when it comes time to love again, you can do so in the most genuine way. This album touches upon what it’s like to fall in a more realistic type of love – the kind of love that changes day to day, that helps you embrace improbability, and that keeps you in the moment. The one thing we can always create more of is love, and while we may be the same people in the same places we’ve always been, we might love differently. This is a story about falling in love at Second Sight.” – Blonde Maze
There’s a quiet moment after heartbreak and before healing when perspective shifts and the rose-colored lenses fade. It’s subtle but defining—the kind of clarity that changes how you see everything. This is the moment Blonde Maze captures in Second Sight, a full-length album that charts her emotional return after heartbreak and the rediscovery of love as well as self-love.
Across 10 tracks, Second Sight invites listeners into a world where vulnerability is strength, softness is power, and reflection doesn’t linger in sorrow but leads to clarity. From the aching calm of “The Thought of You” with imallryt to the tender unraveling of “If I Stayed” with Modera, previously released singles have already offered a gradual unveiling of Blonde Maze’s emotional landscape. That world deepened with the dreamy melancholy of “Never Dream” featuring Attom, the quiet resilience of “To Love Again” with Lizzy Land, and the haunting introspection of her most recent release, “Asleep In My Head,” a striking collaboration with Polar Inc. and Channy Leaneagh of POLIÇA.
Now, she continues the story with five new, unreleased tracks that bring the full narrative arc into view. “Favorite Story” feels like a soft return to safety, wrapping listeners in warmth and memory. “Slow Love” with Kazmyn sways with patience and emotional maturity, while “How Far Can We Go” with Hessian injects a shimmering, dance-inflected sense of momentum and release. “Closer To You,” with LeyeT, finds peace in letting go. The album closes with “Where the Birds Go to Hum,” a wordless, ambient reflection—one final breath that lingers long after the music fades.
Blonde Maze’s production is lush but restrained, creating a sonic space where every detail has room to breathe. With Second Sight, she offers a body of work that’s deeply personal yet widely resonant—a soundtrack for healing, transformation, and rediscovery. Just a week after the album’s release on Friday May 30, she will bring this world to life with a live recorded set featuring selections from the album, including a guest appearance from Lizzy Land for an emotion-driven live performance of “To Love Again.” This live set will invite a closer listen, emphasizing the nuance often tucked between the lines.
