John Summit Brings NYC Back to Life with Experts Only Festival on Randall’s Island

New York City has been waiting patiently for an EDM festival comeback, and John Summit delivered.

This past weekend, Summit teamed up with Medium Rare and Relentless Beats to debut his Experts Only festival on Randall’s Island, the former home of Electric Zoo and Governors Ball. And let’s just say, he did not disappoint.

The two-day, sold-out event pulled in 50k fans with a stacked lineup: Enamour, Pete Tong, Green Velvet B2B Layton Giordani, LP Giobbi, Kaskade B2B Cassian (aka “Caskade”), and of course, Experts Only’s very own John Summit. But Summit being Summit, the party didn’t just live on the main stage. He kicked off his NYC takeover with a surprise run club collab with Lululemon, ending with a pop-up set inside The Vessel. Throughout the weekend, he popped up everywhere: a surprise set at the White Claw Shore Club on Saturday, plus a Sunday daytime throwback at the festival’s second stage, Mirror Field.

Beyond the music, the festival came alive with branded experiences at SUMMIT ST. MARKET:

White Claw’s Shore Club had all-day house party vibes with a bar, DJ, and wave-worthy photo ops.

FEMME HOUSE set up a sound playground for fans to experiment and learn, capped with a surprise visit from LP Giobbi herself.

Beverage brands such as GHOST, BeatBox, and Surfside kept energy levels high (and sunglasses stocked), while fashion partners Supernormal and Elite WEAR had customized kandi bracelets, bags, tees, and more. Don Julio held it down in LIV Skydeck and VIP with premium cocktails and surprise guests.

And yes—the food lineup was just as thought out as the beats: Prince Street Pizza, Gotham Burger Social Club, and Rocky’s Curbside Sizzle brought NYC’s best to the fields.
