It’s a Wrap: Electrisize 2025 Closes with a Dazzling Finale

Electrisize 2025 came to an unforgettable close on Sunday evening, 10 August, with an emotional and visually stunning closing ceremony. To Alex Warren’s hit “Ordinary” a breathtaking fireworks display lit up the sky above the mainstage. Meanwhile, state-of-the-art laser technology bathed the audience in vibrant, perfectly synchronized light shows that pulsed with every beat and drop. It was a moment that sent chills through the crowd – a spectacular finale to a truly extraordinary weekend.

Jan Weber, Stage Producer and the driving force behind the stage construction and the three
evening ceremonies on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, expressed his satisfaction with how
seamlessly everything came together.

“I’m absolutely relieved, happy, and satisfied. The feedback from visitors has been overwhelmingly positive. When you consider the scale of the effort—a full year of planning and two weeks of on-site construction—it truly becomes something special. On Sunday evening, during the closing ceremony, everything culminates. It’s the most incredible feeling you can have.” – Jan Weber

Over the weekend, 50,000 attendees gathered at the historic monastery grounds of Haus
Hohenbusch in Erkelenz to celebrate Electrisize 2025. The festival remained largely peaceful, as confirmed by Security Manager Dominik Kalenberg, who oversaw operations across the campsite, entrances, festival grounds, and parking areas with 110 employees: “Just like last year, we were very fortunate with the weather, which made everything much more relaxed,” Kalenberg reported. “Overall, the experience has been very positive. The guests are great—we’re genuinely enjoying our time with them.”

The German Red Cross was also on-site, offering both minor and major medical support, though they treated fewer patients compared to the previous year. On Sunday evening (10 August), around 450 festival goers reported various “party-related symptoms” – none of which were serious emergencies. They just wanted to take part in Dr. Donk’s Consultation Hour. The Cologne-based Hardcore DJ Dr. Donk hosted a light hearted consultation on the festival grounds and prescribed a steady stream of “phat bass” and “more BPMs” at a rapid pace, creating a playful and memorable moment for many.

“I really can’t think of anything I would do differently – and that’s never happened to me in 16 years.” – Raphael Meyersieck (Organizer)

Electrisize 2025 Delivers Big Moments – Even Amid Last-Minute Changes
On Friday evening (8 August), the Electrisize team proved their ability to adapt under pressure
when DJ Paul Elstak had to cancel his mainstage appearance at short notice due to health reasons. The team transformed the setback into a highlight: A surprise Tapuya (techno) vs. Hardsize (hardstyle) battle featuring back-to-back sets from Davyboi, George (aka Dr. Radsport), Noiseflow, and Schlot. The spontaneous showdown electrified the crowd and showcased the depth of local talent.

The energy remained high throughout the weekend, culminating in a nostalgic throwback on
Sunday evening (10 August), when 2000s pop sensation Cascada took to the stage. With charttopping hits like Evacuate the Dancefloor and Everytime We Touch, lead singer Natalie Horler had the crowd singing along from start to finish. “ “What a Sunday at the Electrisize Festival in Erkelenz! Glorious weather, an incredible atmosphere, and a crowd that gave it their all from the first to the very last second of our hometown show. This day was simply unforgettable for us!”

“I am infinitely proud of our team. They simply gave their all this year. How are we going to top that? That’s a good question – but even as we’re dismantling, we’re already planning for 2026.” – Michael Frentzen (Organizer)

It was also a homerun for rapper Eko Fresh from nearby Kerpen, who delivered a powerful set to an enthusiastic crowd. “Electrisize was absolutely amazing! Not just because it’s my home turf — there was simply love in the air! Thank you for the hospitality; it was electrifying,” he said. From surprise DJ battles to nostalgic chart-toppers and hometown heroes, Electrisize 2025 delivered unforgettable moments at every turn.

A Picture-Perfect Weekend: David Puentez, Ferris Wheel Views, and Festival Joy
Main stage headliner David Puentez was full of praise following his debut at Electrisize 2025.
Enthralled by the festival’s vibrant atmosphere, seven diverse stages, and perfect summer weather 26 degrees and sunshine – he shared his excitement after the show: “It was my first Electrisize. Bright sunshine and happy party people – I can only express my heartfelt thanks to the entire Electrisize team and everyone who danced and celebrated with me! Thank you for the great day! Erkelenz is always worth a visit!” Not just because of the Ferris wheel, that offered panoramic sunset views over the mainstage and festival grounds. With more than 5,000 rides taken over the weekend, many guests opted for a romantic ride above the glowing lights and vibrant crowd.

With glowing feedback from fans, artists, and staff alike, Electrisize 2025 has cemented itself as a festival highlight of the summer – and left everyone eagerly anticipating what comes next.
