Today marks yet another outstanding career mark for one of New York City’s most treasured artists, Zack Martino. After months of teasing out singles “Dreamin’,” “Crave U,” “Where Do We Go” featuring Luma, and his most recent smash “Something About You” alongside KiFi, Zack’s debut EP Reflections is finally out via Armada Music.
Honing in on what every diehard dance music fan wants, Reflections is a spotlight feature of sexy dance floor appeal and mesmerizing electronic records. Each of the four tracks blend together on an innately smooth wave, moving swiftly into a soundtrack of pure flavor. The underlying tone of Reflections is an orchestration of dark melodies, deep bass, and moody soundscapes.
“The inspiration behind this EP started on tour last year. This was the first time in my life that I was away from home for weeks on end and it filled me with a bunch of emotions. I fell in love, experienced heartbreak, was overwhelmed and at times felt alone. But at the same time, it was the best year of my life. I got to travel, see the world and meet so many amazing people along the way. My life was going so fast and I was getting lost. During the making of this EP, I had to take a step back and really reflect on what was going on in my life. It felt so surreal that I’m living this crazy dream of mine, but this is only the beginning.” – Zack Martino
The Armada gem has enjoyed incredible airwave success over the last handful of years. Most recently, his remix for Loud Luxury and Bryce Vine’s “I’m Not Alright” just racked in over 10 million streams on Spotify. This mile marker is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Zack’s musical success. His 2019 show-stopper single “Mood” is still thriving as one of the scene’s top catchiest records. He’s been up for a string of GRAMMY considerations, and is well known for his radiant presence both inside and outside of the studio. On the touring front, he’s held down some of the best stages in the country including Brooklyn’s Avant Gardner, main-stage at EDC Las Vegas, Washington DC’s Echostage, Boston’s The Grand, and Montreal’s New City Gas, just to name a few.
“‘Where Do We Go’ is about the endless sense of adventure we all feel when we fall for somebody new. When my co-writers (Notelle, Casey Cook) and I sat down to write it, we wanted to make sure we captured those heart-on-fire feelings always present in the beginning of something thrilling. We couldn’t be happier a song this special found a home with Zack Martino.” – Luma
Musically, there couldn’t be a better way to round out this year for Zack. Reflections is a brand-new embodiment of just the sort of creative genius that lives in Zack’s mind and his fans’ hearts. The soundtrack shows how far he’s come as a creator, and more-so, someone who will surprise and delight the dance music space time and time again.
